Real Leadership
This focusses on
creating self-awareness in leaders at all levels
and helping leaders to feel safe about and make use of feedback.
The core assumption here is that a leader who lacks self-awareness has a
much-reduced ability to positively influence both internal and external
relationships. These are the final tests of quality leadership and, in
fact, are the core accountability of leadership.
Too many people have taken up senior leadership positions with little if
any understanding of the impact they have on the climate of the
business or organisation they lead.
Dattner Grant holds that it is essential that, at all levels, leaders be
given feedback that enhances their understanding of themselves. There
is a range of diagnostic
tools Dattner Grant uses to help with this, from world-acclaimed
diagnostics such as MSCEIT (Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence
Test) to the HBDI (Herrmann Brain Dominance Indicator). However, many
can access these instruments.
What makes Dattner Grant unique is that senior leaders within
Dattner Grant, who themselves have gone through the journey, facilitate
other leaders. These instruments are not used simply to expand an
individual's self-awareness. They are significantly linked to the
quality and insight they develop around managing both internal and
external relationships. When a credible leader guides discussions at
this level, it makes a measurable difference to learning outcomes.
